I just love this bathroom more every time I see it.
ReplyDeleteyou are so amazing!!!!! How do yall have time to do all this!!!
ReplyDeleteDid you put the beadboard right over the tile or remove the tile? If you did go right over the tile how did you attach the beadboarding to the tile. Also, did you use PVC beadboarding or just regular beadboarding. We have ugly pink tile in our bathroom and want to put beadboarding over it. Your bathroom looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow much did the whole shebang cost?
ReplyDeleteI would also really love a general budget for the project. We have a similarly small bathroom that I would love to reno but it's hard to get a general idea of costs when you consider all of the prep. The shower costs are the main thing I am having a hard time estimating (we are also looking at Daltile subway tile!)
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find those gold picture frames? so pretty & warms up the space!
ReplyDeleteI agree, do you have a price break down??
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the source list! I wandered over here from YHL specifically to find out where you got your shower door :) Fantastic job on the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteFound you from YHL. What size is your shower door and the whole shower area? Beautiful job! I'd love to read more costs/time. Will the tiled floor in the shower and the shower door be difficult to clean?
ReplyDeleteThanks SO much!! Our shower door is 24" and the "sidelights" are about 30". The shower door retails for about $1750 (installed), but I got very, very lucky and my hubby is in the glass business.
ReplyDeleteThe shower isn't hard to clean at all. We squeegee the glass each time, and it stays fairly clean! Dryer sheets help, too (thank you, Pinterest).
Erica, we removed the tile and drywall and took the room down to the studs. Then we put up new drywall and PVC beadboarding over the drywall.
As for total cost... we budgeted for about $2000 but it ended up being about $3000.
Thanks for all your sweet comments!
Looks great! We are installing similar marble in our bathroom next week - did you use a sealer on top of yours? I find mixed answers everywhere I go about whether or not to seal it and what kind of sealer to use.
ReplyDeleteWe did use a sealer. I wasn't about to risk it with my precious new tile! :) I'll have to ask my hubby exactly which one, but it was from Home Depot and we brushed it on.
DeleteYour bathroom looks great. We are starting our bathroom re-do in one week. Is your subway tile the Daltile white 55501 from Home Depot. Or did you get it from Daltile. We got the home depot tile but it isn't a "bright white" and I really like yours. I find Arctic White on the Daltile site but no Ultra White.
ReplyDeleteTry a local tile place... we called around our city to compare prices and found the Ultra White in town. It definitely is a brighter white than Home Depot's "bright white."
DeleteI love the bathroom and your floor tile is exactly what I am looking for. I ordered a sample and it came in all white - any chance you could have named the wrong tile - did you by chance use http://www.marblenthings.com/Bianco-Carrara-Marble-Hexagon-Honed-Mosaic-Tiles-p/carhexhoned.htm?
ReplyDeleteThe URL calls it Diano Carrara Marble but the description is Arabescato.
Thanks!
try this link..

It has a lot of white in it. But, it is definitely white carrara. Goodluck!
We are currently remodeling a bathroom very similar in size to yours and I have fallen in love with the Carerra marble but at the tile stores in my area it is over $30 per square foot. Even in a very small bathroom it ends up being a crazy amount of money! Did you actually purchase your tile from Marble n things online? Did you have any problems with that? For example broken tiles. Is the quality good? I just ordered a couple samples last night so I am anxious to get it and see how it looks.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for the delayed response... but, yes ... we really did order from them! Our neighbors have used them, too and we've both had great experiences!
ReplyDeleteHello, Found your remodel on YHL. We too have a bathroom identical to Sherri & John with the yellow tile. LOVE what you did! I had I followed the Nelbran glass link for the source but I had more questions about the shower enclosure. Do you mind sharing about the shower? Did they come measure? or did a contracter? or did you do all that and work directly with them? We live in FL and would be having to work with someone else so just need to know how to approach if we wanted to copy you! : ) Would also love to know the cost if you would share that. Thanks for sharing and the great ideas.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Nelbran sent a guy and he measured, then later they came and installed. They were fabulous to work with, I highly recommend them. However, I believe they are a local company. I'll have to check the the Hubs about the price, he's my numbers guy! Best of luck!
Deletewow that's a nice little design on that floor to make the bathroom look better.
